 The Moho River is the second southern-most river of Belize. The majority of the river is accessible only by boat and that is exactly the way you will experience it. After an early morning sta rt, your guide will take you by boat just south of Punta Gorda in to the Moho River mouth. From there you will travel up stream on this spectacular jungle-lined river. The thick mangroves along the banks offer perfect hiding and nesting places for a variety of bird species. Your boat will pass silently in front of and almost within arms reach of these beautiful birds. Be sure to keep an eye out for nesting h erons hidden amongst the branches of the mangrove trees. But that is not all you may encounter. You may also see iguanas basking in the sun or taking in a quick dip in the river, and with little bit of luck you will come across Hickatee Turtles, crocodiles and rare river otters.
