Wake up early and experience the beauty of a morning kayak on Joe Taylor’s Creek
Have an early, but very rewarding, morning on Joe Taylor's Creek. You will meet your tour guide at TIDE’s office in Hopeville in the early morning hours, where you will be given a quick orientation on kayaking. You will then get into your kayak and paddle up Joe Taylor Creek to view an abundance of early morning birds, iguanas and other wildlife preparing for another day. You will be surrounded by beautiful mangroves where many birds will be performing their morning dances and feeding rituals. The guide will point out the hidden beauty of the river bank. Once you reach th ick, impenetrable mangrove obstructing your way, you will turn around and slowly paddle downstream where after passing under the bridge you will reach the Caribbean sea. Here, you can admire pelicans hunting for fish just a couple of feet away from you. Don’t forget to keep an eye open for the fishes hiding in the mangrove and hunting in the shallow water. The entire trip will take around 3 hours.
Don’t forget to take bug repellent, sun cream and water so you can have 100% enjoyment.
